1. Overview

R Kent & Sons provides warranties on parts supplied by us in accordance with the terms below.

This warranty applies only to parts supplied by R Kent & Sons and does not cover general wear and tear or unrelated vehicle issues.

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Standard parts warranty

All parts supplied by R Kent & Sons are covered by a:

3-month warranty from date of installation or supply

3. Extended warranty (specific parts)

The following parts include extended warranty periods:

  • Power Steering Pumps – 12 months / 20,000 km
  • Power Steering Racks – 12 months / 20,000 km
  • Power Steering Boxes – 12 months / 20,000 km
  • Hoses – 12 months / 20,000 km
  • Steering Rack Ends – 24 months / 40,000 km
  • Electrical Components – 6 months / 10,000 km (see conditions below)

4. Electrical components – conditions

Warranty on electrical parts is void if:

  • Incorrect installation or wiring
  • Misuse or modification
  • Damage from external causes

5. Labour and installation

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Warranty applies to parts only
  • Labour costs for removal, reinstallation or diagnosis may not be included
  • Labour warranty applies only to work performed directly by R Kent & Sons

6. Warranty claims process

To make a claim:

  • Provide proof of purchase (invoice required)
  • Contact us at admin@kents.net.au
  • Follow instructions provided by our team

We may require:

  • Inspection of the part
  • Return of the part for assessment
  • Photos or additional details

7. Repair or replacement

If a valid warranty claim is confirmed, R Kent & Sons will:

  • Repair or replace the part, or
  • Provide store credit or refund (at our discretion)

Replacement parts may be:

  • New, reconditioned, or equivalent

Warranty periods do not reset after replacement.

8. What is not covered

To the extent permitted by law, warranty does not apply to:

  • Incorrect installation (by third parties)
  • Misuse, neglect or accidents
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by other faulty components
  • Modified or high-performance use outside intended design
  • Vehicles not maintained correctly

9. Vehicle-related limitations

R Kent & Sons is not responsible for:

  • Secondary damage caused by part failure
  • Loss of vehicle use
  • Any indirect or consequential loss

10. Australian consumer law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
